Want to whip up something sexy (rawr) for Valentine’s Day?
Want to do that without a bunch of sugar and artificial flavour?
If you’ve got a sweet tooth (I have), you’re adding more healthy fats into your diet (I am), and you like things a little spicy (I do), then this may be just the thing.
- 1 ripe avocado
- ¼ cup raw cacao powder
- ¼ cup full fat coconut milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract, 2 tsp stevia (or raw honey, if not vegan)
- 1 TBSP melted coconut oil, wild orange EO & cassia EO.
Method: In a food processor or blender, puree avocado until smooth. In a medium sized mixing bowl, mix cacao & coconut milk until combined, then add vanilla. In a small glass dish, add 1 drop each wild orange & cassia essential oil to the coconut oil before adding that and the pureed avocado to the milk mixture. Stir until well combined, transfer into individual serving dishes, and chill for 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with a thin slice of orange and a sprinkle of cinnamon, just for fun!
Not only is this mousse creamy and delicious, it is free from gluten, dairy and additives, so you won’t regret eating it immediately after doing so! And of course, I like to sneak essential oils in when I can– here’s why:
Wild Orange essential oil contains powerful antioxidants*, supports a healthy immune system* and has an energizing aroma.
Imagine that, a burst of energy from sniffing your dessert!
Cassia essential oil, often used as a substitute for cinnamon in recipes, has a slew of benefits, including supporting a healthy immune system* and promoting healthy digestion*. When diffused, cassia evokes feelings of arousal (ask me how I know…)
That and spiced orange is just lovely, isn’t it? One of my favourite combinations!
