Tree Fort Diffuser Blend

Tree Fort Diffuser Blend

The Tree Fort Diffuser blend – because who doesn’t love the idea of rewilding themselves, giving up civilization, and living a peaceful, secluded life up in the trees? 😂

But seriously now, life can be stressful at times, and when those times arise we need to have tools in our self-care toolbox to manage it (because we can’t always run off into the woods). One of the first tools I reach for are my essential oils; they’re not only powerful and effective, but the aroma of a grounding oil almost instantly brings me back to the present moment, the only place where life really exists. If we can stop ourselves from worrying about the things that happened in the past and things that haven’t happened yet, if we can be truly present, then we are able to more rationally deal with the stressors in our lives.

When I turn to my oils to help balance or uplift my mood, I start by opening up the ones I know to have certain qualities, and then see which I’m feeling drawn to. This diffuser blend came from one of those days. I hope it brings you the peace it has brought me!

Sandalwood

Frequently used in meditation for its grounding and uplifting properties, Sandalwood is one of my favourite mood enhancing oils. Not only can you diffuse Sandalwood, but you can also apply it to your neck and shoulders at bedtime for a restful night’s sleep. If you are on the go, inhale Sandalwood directly from your palms to lessen tension and balance emotions.

Cedarwood

Cedarwood is known for its warm, woodsy scent that is both grounding and evokes feelings of wellness and vitality. After a difficult day, diffusing Cedarwood is a great way to relax, as it soothes the mind and the body.

Ginger

Not just for cooking, Ginger can be diffused to help create a sense of equilibrium and for added energy, especially useful in the late afternoon.

Siberian Fir

When diffused, Siberian Fir can help promote feelings of easy breathing, while calming the emotions and providing a grounding effect.

Lavender

Is there anything Lavender can’t do!? I guess it can’t make a cup of coffee, but I can’t think of much else. Lavender is our ‘old reliable’ when it comes to calming and relaxing, which makes perfect sense as it synergistically helps to soothe and calm the nervous system. Diffusing this oil can help you stay on task, evoke positive feelings of self-awareness, ease tension, and promote an overall feeling of vitality. Lavender is also well known to support healthy immune function and response during times of seasonal threats, as it promotes feelings of clear breathing and open airways.

Essential oils are only ONE stress management tool I rely on – I’ll share more of my go-to’s soon! What stress management tools do you use? Leave me a comment below so we can all help each other when life gets tough!

P.S. When I originally created this blend, Siberian Fir was not yet available. Siberian Fir was added when White Fir was removed from the dōTERRA product list due to sustainability issues. If you have White Fir in your personal collection, you can use that instead of Siberian Fir.

White Fir

Difficult circumstances call for powerful aromas such as White Fir, which can be diffused to reduce stress while also having an energizing effect. This oil evokes feelings of empowerment and stability.
